The external report presentation on "Aquaculture" was held.

A presentation of an extra-university and applied report by Dr. Mohammad Mohayseni, a faculty member of the Fisheries Engineering Department of Lorestan University, on the subject of "Capacity Assessment and Biotechnical Study of Marook and Rudbar Dams for the Purpose of Cultivating Aquatic Animals Compatible with the Conditions of Lorestan Province with a Focus on Cage Fish Farming" was held.

Based on the approach of expanding extra-university communications and interactions and conducting applied research, this project was carried out with the participation of the General Directorate of Fisheries and the General Directorate of Planning and Budget of the province.

In this regard, Dr. Mohayseni told our reporter: "This research was conducted based on field studies and sampling over a continuous one-year period and provided useful information regarding the status of Marook and Rudbar dams in terms of trophic status, seasonal and annual physicochemical conditions, and biological changes in the dam reservoirs."

Dr. Mohayseni explained: "Based on the information obtained from this research, the permissible capacity for aquaculture in the mentioned dams was determined, with an emphasis on preserving the ecological conditions of the dam lakes, and was provided to the General Directorate of Fisheries of the province for future policy-making; also, the natural production rate of the dam reservoir along with the natural production capacity based on stocking the lake were other aspects of this research."
