Faculty of Natural Resources, Lorestan University, Organized: R Software Training Workshop

Coinciding with the commemoration of Research and Technology Week, and in line with enhancing students' practical skills, a workshop on "Introduction to R Software and its Applications" was held by the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Lorestan.
According to the Public Relations of the University of Lorestan, this workshop, presented by Dr. Samira Beiranvand, was held with the aim of familiarizing students, especially postgraduate students, with this software.
At the beginning of the workshop, a brief explanation of the history of R software was presented; then, a detailed discussion was held about the advantages of this software and the necessity of learning it in research and analytical activities.
Furthermore, the installation and setup of R software and the RStudio environment were taught to the participants, and comprehensive explanations were provided regarding the user interface and various applications of this software.
Some of the main and practical concepts of R software were also reviewed so that students could become more familiar with the capabilities and capacities of this statistical and data analysis tool.
It is worth mentioning that the main goal of the workshop was to introduce R software and emphasize the importance of learning it in scientific research.
Complete training on this software and mastery of the R programming language require more training sessions and in a specialized manner.
