Examples of Academic Dishonesty
Attention Students: Wishing you health, well-being, and success, the following instances of academic dishonesty are hereby communicated to
inform you, our esteemed students.
In accordance with the provisions of paragraph B of the Enforcement Guidelines of the Disciplinary Regulations, academic dishonesty is defined as the use by students of information, equipment, or facilities in a manner that is not permitted, with the prior intention of presenting the result of a required educational or research activity.
Examples of Academic Dishonesty:
- Not having a student ID card or exam entry card (counterfeit, copied, or defaced);
- Possessing a mobile phone (even if turned off), tablet, MP3 player and similar devices, headphones, calculators, books, and notes (without the instructor's permission);
- Attending the exam in place of another person or sending another person to take the exam in one's place;
- Removing the answer sheet from the exam session, destroying the paper and tearing it, and writing a false name on the exam paper;
- Changing seats or seat numbers;
- Possessing notes in any form, whether they are used or not (such as writing content on the palm of the hand, on paper, on clothing, on the back of the exam entry card, on the chair, taking notes of questions, etc.);
- Possessing any type of paper or scratch paper that does not have the exam administration stamp;
- Exchanging question papers or answer sheets with other students, looking at or showing the exam paper to a neighboring student;
- Leaving the exam session after seeing the questions and before signing the attendance list;
- Any action that leads to creating noise and disorder in the conduct of the exam sessions.
- Disrespect and disregard for the invigilator's warnings and any disputes with the executive staff and exam organizers;
- Swallowing, tearing, hiding, or not providing notes and tools used for cheating to the invigilator;
- Hand in your mobile phone (turned off) and other devices at the designated locations at the entrance of each faculty and receive a receipt.
- Reporting any of the above items to the Student Disciplinary Secretariat will result in penalties such as a written reprimand and entry in the student's file, a grade of 0.25, and even temporary suspension from studies.
