First Impressions of New Students on the World of "Plant Science"/ Orientation Ceremony Held at the Faculty of Agriculture

With the presence of Dr. Farhad Nazarian-Firouzabadi, the President of the Faculty of Agriculture at Lorestan University, the introductory ceremony for new students of the Plant Production and Genetics Engineering program was held; a ceremony to begin a new chapter of scientific growth and development.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this ceremony was held with the aim of familiarizing new students with their field of study, professors, and the educational and research prospects of this field.

In this ceremony, Dr. Nazarian-Firouzabadi, while welcoming the students, emphasized the vital role of Plant Production and Genetics Engineering in the future of food security and sustainable development and said: "Students of this field should consider themselves not only as learners of knowledge, but also as the builders of the country's green future."

Then, Dr. Hadi Ahmadi, the Director of the Plant Production and Genetics Engineering Department, introduced the course outlines, research pathways, and job opportunities in this field and asked the students to pursue their scientific path with motivation and perseverance.

Furthermore, Dr. Mahmoud Gholami, the head of the Scientific Association, and Ayoub Esmaeili-Monfared, the secretary of the Student Scientific Association of Plant Production and Genetics Engineering, provided explanations about the scientific and executive activities of the association and invited the students to actively participate in research and workshop programs.

The new students also shared their questions with the professors of the Faculty of Agriculture.

This ceremony was held through the efforts of the Student Scientific Association of Plant Production and Genetics Engineering.

Student scientific associations operate under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor for Cultural and Social Affairs of the University.
