Lorestan University's Participation in the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize Event / Official Invitation to a Faculty of Agriculture Professor for an International Lecture

In mid-September 1404, the prestigious scientific event of the Mustafa(pbuh) Prize, which is considered the highest award for science and technology in the Islamic world, was held with the presence of a group of the top scientists from Islamic countries.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in this prestigious event of the Islamic world, Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, with his accompanying team, actively participated to expand scientific interactions and increase the impact of Lorestan University at the international level.
Following up on Scientific Memoranda of Understanding; From Lorestan to the Islamic World
During this event, the memoranda of understanding signed by Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani, President of Lorestan University, were followed up by the Vice President for Research and Technology to lead to the conclusion of scientific collaborations with universities in Islamic countries.
After the end of the ceremony, the scientific and diplomatic efforts of the Vice President for Research and Technology of the university continued, and these follow-ups ultimately led to an official invitation from the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) to Lorestan University.
Invitation to a Professor from Lorestan University for an International Lecture
Following these interactions, COMSTECH requested Lorestan University to introduce a group of prominent university experts to participate in prestigious scientific meetings.
Accordingly, Dr. Farhad Nazarian Firouzabadi, professor and head of the Faculty of Agriculture of Lorestan University, was invited to speak at the international conference "Transformation of Food Systems for Climate Actions" which will be held from October 28 to 30 in Uganda.
This prestigious scientific meeting will be held at the University College Icucu Islamic Call, and according to the official announcement of COMSTECH, all travel, accommodation, and food expenses of Dr. Nazarian Firouzabadi will be fully paid by this international institution.
Strengthening Lorestan's Scientific Position in the Islamic World
The invitation of Dr. Nazarian Firouzabadi to speak at a prestigious transnational workshop conference is the result of more than a month of planning, coordination, and focused efforts.
In this regard, Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, said: "The invitation of a professor from Lorestan University for an international lecture is a step towards strengthening the university's scientific diplomacy and introducing Lorestan's research capacities at the transnational level."
He added: "The conclusion of a memorandum of understanding with a reputable university from Uganda, the beginning of cooperation with NUST Pakistan University and UTM Malaysia University, are among the results of participation in the prestigious Mustafa (pbuh) scientific prize event and shows that Lorestan University is trying to be an active player in the field of science and technology in the Islamic world."
