Student Field Trip of Lorestan University's Faculty of Natural Resources to Poldokhtar Wetlands

To commemorate Research and Technology Week, the Faculty of Natural Resources at Lorestan University organized a student field trip to the wetlands of Poldokhtar County.
According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, the student field trip, supervised by Dr. Navid Zamani, a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering Department of the Faculty of Natural Resources at Lorestan University, was held in collaboration with the General Department of Environment of Lorestan Province, coinciding with the bird migration season.
During the visit, students of the Environmental Science program at Lorestan University, along with Dr. Navid Zamani and Engineer Mohsen Amiri (Wildlife Expert of the General Department of Environmental Protection of Lorestan), used birdwatching equipment to observe and record various bird species in this unique habitat.
The visit was held with the aim of monitoring and studying the status of wetlands and migratory birds, and familiarizing students with the scientific principles of birdwatching and the management of aquatic habitats.
A number of bird species that were observed by students during this visit include:
"Grey Heron, Little Egret, Common Coot, Little Grebe, Pied Kingfisher, Eurasian Thick-knee, Eurasian Nuthatch, Western Marsh Harrier, and Brown-necked Raven."
It is worth noting that the wetlands of Poldokhtar County in Lorestan Province are considered among the natural tourism (ecotourism) attractions.
