A meeting to present the research sabbatical report by a faculty member of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Lorestan University, was held.

Presentation of the Research Opportunity Report on Industry and Community Engagement by Dr. Zahra Mirazadi, Faculty Member of the Forestry Department, Faculty of Natural Resources, Lorestan University, was held on November 7th of this year in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Lorestan University.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this research opportunity was conducted in coordination with the Industry and Entrepreneurship Relations Department of Lorestan University in the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan Province.

The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Lorestan University, is Dr. Ali Haghighizadeh, and the Director of Industry Relations of the University is Reza Asareh.

The title of the research opportunity was "Investigation of the Causes of Decline of Arjan Shrubs in Lorestan Province," which was carried out under a contract between the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan Province and Lorestan University from March 15, 2022, to March 15, 2024, for a period of two years.

Identifying the most important ecological factors affecting the decline, investigating the morphological and physiological characteristics of declining shrubs, examining the soil and vegetation conditions of the declining areas, the impact of decline on the forest ecosystem structure, and identifying the most important pests and diseases affecting the decline phenomenon were among the most important objectives of this research project.

Following the presentation, questions and suggestions were raised by the professors and students present at the meeting, and an hour was devoted to discussion and exchange of views on the results obtained.
