Dec 28, 2025

The final report presentation of the "Industry Collaboration Project" by Dr. Mehri Saeedi-nia, faculty member of the Water Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Lorestan University, titled "Developing a System of Water Issues and Solutions for Lorestan Province with a Governance Improvement Strategy," was held with the aim of presenting the water issues system of the province based on existing documents and the opinions of experts and stakeholders, including professors, managers, and leading farmers.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, industry collaboration projects of faculty members are prepared and implemented under the supervision of the Vice President for Research and Technology (Industry Relations Department) of Lorestan University and the Research Vice Presidents of the faculties of this university.

The scientific research direction is that: Lorestan province, with a rich history of rushing rivers and abundant springs, is today grappling with complex challenges in the water sector; challenges that stem from issues beyond water scarcity; issues in the layers of management, policy-making, laws, and coordination of institutions.

Devastating floods, prolonged droughts, declining groundwater levels, and conflicts in consumption can be considered as superficial signs of a deeper problem.

In this research, an attempt has been made to systematically and scientifically analyze the water issues system of Lorestan province and then, based on this analysis, to provide operational and coordinated solutions based on the views of experts, which, with the strategy of improving governance, will pave the way for a sustainable and prosperous future for Lorestan.
