Department of Rangeland and Watershed Management

This group was established in 2007 with the aim of training specialized personnel in the field of watershed and rangeland management in the country, and currently admits students at three levels: Bachelor's (Rangeland and Watershed Engineering), Master's (Watershed Engineering), and Doctoral (Watershed Science and Engineering). The total number of faculty members in this group is 7. Watershed management is a discipline that aims to comprehensively understand the watershed in terms of its potentials and limitations, and ultimately manage water and soil resources comprehensively. The curriculum of this field has been designed in such a way that graduates will be able to work in research and executive centers after graduation in the field of preparing watershed management plans, designing and implementing mechanical and biomechanical structures, managing floods, droughts, and other watershed management programs. Graduates of this group can work in research centers and natural resources departments, as well as in the Agricultural Jihad Organization, Regional Water Organizations, Environmental Protection Organization, Crisis Management, etc. Also, consulting engineering companies in natural resources, agriculture, and environment are other areas in which graduates can work.
