Department of Plant Production Engineering and Genetics

Group Introduction:

The Department of Plant Production and Genetics is the first department established in the field of agriculture at Lorestan University, which began its work in 1989 with the name of the Department of Plant Production by admitting students at the associate degree level. Currently, it is the most important department of the Faculty of Agriculture with the most faculty members (13 members with various specializations including 2 professors, 5 associate professors, and 6 assistant professors). Currently, the department is active in one bachelor's degree program entitled Plant Production and Genetics Engineering, 3 master's degree programs (1- Agrotechnology with three specializations: Crop Ecology and Crop Physiology, Weed Science, 2- Plant Genetics and Breeding, 3- Agricultural Biotechnology) and three doctoral programs (1- Agricultural Biotechnology, 2- Plant Genetics and Breeding, 3- Agrotechnology with three specializations: Crop Ecology and Crop Physiology and Weed Science) and admits students on a daily, evening, and self-funded campus basis.
